Bruno Gagnon is a Senior Science and Policy Analyst in the Canadian Forest Service at Natural Resources Canada and National Task Leader for IEA Bioenergy Task 43 on Biomass Supply. In his role, Bruno investigates emerging opportunities for the circular bioeconomy, including bioenergy and other bioproducts, and provides policy advice on their contribution to Canada’s climate plan. Prior to joining the Government of Canada in 2015, Bruno worked as a consultant in sustainability and climate change services. Bruno holds a PhD in environmental engineering (University of Sherbrooke, Canada). Research interests include: life cycle assessment, bioenergy, circular economy, forest sector supply chains and climate policy.
