Renato Godinho, head of the New and Renewable Energy Resources Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is a career diplomat, in the advisor class, graduated in journalism from the University of São Paulo, with a Master’s in Diplomacy from the Rio Branco Institute. Over a 14-year diplomatic career, he has worked in different themes and sectors, including Mercosur, UNASUR, agriculture, nutrition and food security, international organizations, humanitarian policy, consular action, management, bilateral relations, sustainability and energy. He is particularly interested in issues of multilateral and multisectoral governance, negotiation, institutional design, processes and consensus building, seeking the best ways to maximize legitimacy, representativeness, participation.
